Don't think it would be that way for long. If that ski area went under, the line of potential buyers, developers and various suitors would stretch all the way down to the covered bridge. Not for the ski area, but the land underneath it.
This guy Mogensen did the entire ski community a favor when he stepped in, because the clock was ticking. Money goes to money, and Jackson has become like a neodymium magnet.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the complaints are coming from well-heeled neighbors who would gladly expand their holdings and be rid of the noisy plebeians who descend on their little slice of heaven every weekend.
