Nice to see a ski area innovating and getting creative to make things new and different. Seems like the Meagaplexes just raise prices and call routine maintenance an “upgrade” to the “snow sport product”.

I hope they succeed and I am trying to find a way over there this spring

I skied Black today. They made a lot of snow this weekend. There were large whales on trails. All the snowmaking trails were open with deep bases . Things warmed up so nice carving conditions.

My family is renewing our passes for next year.

Every other sport has extended their season: Black claims to be a testbed for innovation for the smaller areas. I hope that they can demonstrate the ability of the ski industry to market the late season product. Anyone skiing the last few days with the exceptional spring conditions knows it already - and short lines to boot.

joshua_segal I typically don’t get a beer at the mountain during peak winter. I am usually too busy skiing. On sunny late season spring days I will buy a beer in the afternoon. I wonder if they sell more food/drink on warm sunny days late season to justify the work to stay open longer.

Now we can have champagne at 4000 feet in New England! They better talk to some european resorts to learn how to handle it at altitude.
