Alternate use of snowguns

The condo building at 221 Mount Auburn Street in Cambridge, MA is being demolished due to structural issues. While I was walking by, I saw two snow guns in front of the building shown in the photo below. After asking around, I discovered that they were being used the wash dust associated with the demolition out of the air.

I know that hoses attached to the snowmaking hydrants have been used for supplementary water for forest fires. Anyone know of other applications of snow guns?

They're fairly widely advertised for all sorts of dust control applications. The "HKD Blue" section of HKD's site suggests a variety of dust control purposes.

I’m sure this group remembers when Killington did that (not on the ski trails) but the local press erroneously picked up on it and ran an article titled something like, “Where the affluent meet the effluent”.

I remember seeing this New York Times article last year about using what appears to be a machine resembling a fan gun to blow aerosol particles into the air to brighten clouds so that they reflect more light into space (and therefore make the planet cooler). Interesting idea.
