TomWhite In the ’79/80 season Stowe still had the summit single and ponchos. It was several years later when I was back. Both were gone. I think it was ’70/71 when I was at Holiday Valley. They had them. They also had the fastest rope tows I even rode.
lotsoskiing Stowe, MRG, and Smuggs had them when I skied there as a kid in the 70’s The one I have (Stowe/Smuggs) is Johnson Woolens, red/black check wool flannel on inside. Toasty.
Beast Patroller I remember my wife & I riding the lifts at Stowe with the wool blankets. They did help quite a bit but we would still make a run, go in to warm up and repeated that all day.
