It was a beautiful, cold day at Ragged and it finally looked like winter! A fresh snowfall had coated the mountain and the snow skied very well. The Barnyard Triple, Spear Mountain Quad, and Summit Six-Pack were open. The only trail open on Spear was Flying Yankee, but there were about four ways down from the summit of Ragged. Temperatures were in the teens and twenties and there wasn’t much wind. It was relatively crowded and lift lines were sometimes long on the Six-Pack and triple, but the wait was never too long on the quad. Some trails were also very crowded at various times throughout the day and ski patrol was very active taking care of the many crashes and falls. It was a great day of skiing and hopefully the start of better conditions to come!
