I work in Plyomuth, but don’t live in Plymouth. I’ve seen signs on bulletin boards at the University about this topic, but I don’t have a dog in the race. I still don’t see Tenney as viable in the long term, nor do I see the place being a success if they develop the base area (of which, they’ve done nothing except refurb the lodge, to the best of my knowledge).
If they want to build lodging, they’ll be competing with the bed base on Tenney Mountain Highway. Another developer beat them to the punch by opening a Fairfield a few years ago. And, from what I understand, that same developer is currently leveling the adjacent property to build another hotel. Common Man Inn is also conveniently located. For non-skiers and non-winter tourists, are they really going to want to go that far off the highway for lodging, unless they are using the “amenities” at Tenney?
