This must be my first “reply” with the new system. It doesn’t automatically include the text of what I’m replying to. How do I do that?

Mt. A’s “Zepher” was not an Alpine Slide. I don’t know the brand name, but it was the same as what I rode at Mt. Whittier. You sat like you do riding a horse. Each leg on either side of the cart with handle like alpine slides for speed control. The cart was on a raised rail about 4′ off the ground. While there may have been a simple leather strap across one’s lap, falling off was certainly possible. At Whittier, the T-bar (w/o the Ts) towed riders up, and like alpine slides, gravity was the power taking riders down.
