Today is August 6, 2026. Most of you know that I do 90% of my skiing at either Crotched Mountain (where I live) or Killington.
Last season, Killington opened on 11/12/25 and closed on 5/26/26. The mid-point is August 19, so we have a few more weeks before we are nearer to the 26-7 season than to last. However, at CM, last season, CM opened on 12/12/25 and closed on 3/30/26. The mid-point is August 6, so today, we at CM are nearer to the 26-7 season than to last.
As such, it seemed appropriate to open the CM thread for the new season.
Most of this summer’s activities have continued with the standard things done on lift maintenance and maintenance of the snowmaking system. nelsber has been providing a more detailed description.
