I was privileged to meet Woody and have dinner with him and his wife and my wife at his house and I can confirm he is a class act gentleman! He took me up to show me his collection of patches in one of those bedrooms. We had a great time the saw came about from our relationship on Snowjournal. I haven’t read this whole article yet it’s quite lengthy, but I will get finished with it. Hope you Snowjournal all stars are doing well.

Thanks, Jim. And trackbiker, JMaul, rickbolger, and ciscokid too. Doing the interview was fun, and even enlightening, for me. I thought DCSki editor Scott Smith was clever in tying together the family’s history with my collecting “bug” and interests in visiting a variety of open and closed ski areas. So much of my skiing these days has been shaped by discussions here on Snowjournal as well as DCSki. Thanks to all!

For SJ readers, it looks like some of the DCSki gang will be gathering at Timberline WV the weekend of January 8th. I’ve got the dates circled, with plans to ski T-line in the 8th and Canaan Valley on the 9th. Everyone welcome! ⛷️
