What is the situation with pictures?

Are all the past information/ discussions going to be accessible?  Such a wealth of knowledge on the old forum, it would be sad to lose it all!

I suggested this on another thread but for the sake of continuity … I’d like to be able to embed videos from vimeo or youtube.

Also I see a preview for posting a new thread but not for replying to an existing thread.

I do not know if this is planned or a “feature,” but the server does not accept .png images.  It gives a broken image-link picture.  Tried a .jpg and it worked fine.

but i see security blocks trying to view your pictures, but I can see them if i click through to photobucket.  i don’t even own norton.

In the recreation of my username I foolishly went from jimk to JimK.  Will this be a problem?   ^#(^

That should depend on your ipad client software, ie. Safari.   If I remember i’ll try it later.

I’m using Safari and most options, such as picture embedding won’t work. I’ll try my laptop later after I get back from my canoeing trip this weekend.

Why is my picture( upside down) smaller than Pagamonys?

In the case below, I am directing pasting the URL above — and it is upside down !!!   FWIW, Apple product-produced images use a legitimate xif tag for orientation that no one else uses, which is why you often need to rotate images imported from an iphone on a Windows system but not a Mac system.  And if you are really exacting, their color maps are slightly different and if you find this bothering then you can download new color map files for your Windows system.  It’s very complicated.
