Old Mt. Snow Trail Maps

Kelly of Kelly’s Blog is looking for old trail maps and brochures:I am always looking for old trail maps and brochures.  My goal is to have a trail map for every year Mount Snow has operated.  You would think that the ski area would have that collection but unfortunately not.  Over the years things get moved, people come and go and those collections get misplaced, loaned out or taken.  Let’s call it the thrill of the hunt that will fuel me to complete this collection.  If you have an old trail map that you would like to share, let me know.  You don’t have to give me the actual map - a photo, scan or copy will do just fine.  It is actually the information contained in that map that I find the most interesting.I am searching for 17 more maps.  The years missing are:  1954-56, 1959-62, 65, 67, 1971-75, 77, 79, 80, 84 and 85.

Away for the weekend, but next week I can look through my binders.  I have binders full of ski brochures.  Which as I always say, they aren’t nearly as interesting as Mitt Romney’s binders, but it’s what I have.

More importantly, we had a terrific user on SJ 1.0 named Laurie who had a website that can fill in the gaps.  Site not longer running but you can piece together a few if you used the wayback machine,

…that link goes to a scan of the site in 2015 when it was still running.   Unfortunately that link doesn’t dig deep into many full size scans, so you may have to click around to get them.

If anyone know how to get in touch with Laurie (JEREMY???) she could certainly help with this effort.   Rocket can also likely fill in some holes if you diplomatically visit newenglandskihistory.com.  Likely he’s already been in touch with our favorite GM

I’ll dig through my maps, too.  I probably have a yea or two to help fill in, and I’d be glad to scan them.  Either on this forum or by PM, can you let me know where I should send the scans?

(Oh, and if you happen to contact LaurieP, ask her if she wants to trade that Chickley Alp brochure she shows on her website.)
