Amesbury Ski Tow

I biked to the summit of Powwow Hill today and I thought I would share a photo of what the top of the old ski slope looks like now. The top of a platter lift still remains and is to the right of where I was standing to take this photo. There are still remains of lift towers, haul cable, lighting, telephone poles, and snowmaking infastructure lower on the hill. I found those remains while hiking in winter a few years back, I’m pretty sure that they would be almost impossible to get to in the summer. The condos that are shown in the photo are right in the middle of the main ski slope.

They were accessible maybe 10 years ago. I recall the bottom being wet.
