For many years, I always wanted to ski in Colorado. Either I didn’t have the money, or I didn’t have the time.
Finally, I was hired by a private equity company to pilot their private jet. One of the executives has a timeshare in Aspen, and I had the opportunity to fly his family there for New Year’s. The company paid for my expenses (meals, hotel and rental car). I got to ski the areas around Aspen, and later that year on a different flight, I skied Vail and Beaver Creek. The only drawback is that I am not allowed to ski within 24 hours of flying, in case I get injured they can get another pilot.
The first photo below is Aspen Airport when the weather is good. The second is when the weather is bad (our flight attendant took the photos).
