Best Season Pass Perks/ Reciprocals/ Benefits

This was brought up under my other thread( 1st s p in 57 yrs) but I thought deserved its own.

For those of you who would ski Magic, Black NH, Dartmouth, Bolton, Plattekill and a few others it might be worth it to buy a Mt Bohemia pass online for $99 on Dec 3. All areas are showing 3 free days. This looks almost unbelievable.

What other season passes have good benefits / perks in your opinion? I find it hard to beat these

The Freedom Ski is an add on  (I think $50.00) to any of the member areas season passes.  I got a MacIntyre Senior pass plus a Freedom Pass just to try the smaller areas a few years ago. Maybe not enough excitement for a full season but a nice compliment to my PEAK pass.

That is a great deal Cisco if you plan to ski any of those areas. In comparison Mighty Mcintyre is $280 for us old guys. Some areas are having a CyberMonday deals. Bolton 18-25 yrs old $199. Discrimination!!!! They have other discounts too. For you youngennials a season at Bolton and 3 Days at Magic for $199, can’t beat that. ….. When you purchase a 2016-2017 McIntyre Season Pass, you receive the FREEDOM PASS at no additional charge.

So I finally read the Mt Bohemia link and it includes a few extras. It’s also $115 not $99. It says they are available 11/23, which I think means in person and then 12/3 online. On the front page it also says, 2 free days at Porcupine Mountain Michigan, which I don’t see mentioned on the pass page..

Well deposits are put down on Bohemia and Whitecap Wisconsin. I guess I’ll buy the pass next week to Bohemia. How bout that , 2 season passes in the same year.(and my 1st overall)

Well a good move was made booking both, we got the BIG yurt at Bohemia and upgrade to KING beds at Whitecap.( got 2 out of the 3 rooms with them)

Now the pilots are hoping the winds aren’t too severe for the cessna’s hauling my big carcass.

Oh and the 12 passenger taxi vans are booked

As an area hopper, those reciprocal benefits have been a big selling point to me.  I like the freedom that comes with knowing that I can ski a variety of areas for free or at a discount during a given season.

I’ve had the Snowtime pass for Liberty, Whitetail and Roundtop PA, which includes the Mountains of Distinction reciprocal benefits program as a passholder perk.  Fifteen NEastern ski areas from Wintergreen in VA to Jay in VT are part of the MOD program.  Others participating areas include Seven Springs PA, Wawa and Okemo.  A passholder gets a small discount, usually $10, on weekends and holidays (no big deal).  More importantly, passholder benefits include a weekday ticket for ½ price at any MOD area throughout the season.  For a while, you could also get a $20 (!) weekday ticket at Stratton and something-or-other at Breckenridge, too.  

I had a Wintergreen pass for one season and had the Snowtime pass for maybe 7 years before switching to the Snowtime discount card last season.  Since I work some weekend days but have occasional weekdays open, I took advantage of the MOD benefits with my Wintergreen or Snowtime pass to get to know other areas in the region and save some $$$ on trips to the NEast, too.

My calendar seems to be squaring up with yours pretty well, cisco.  Tour the small-to-medium areas in the NE, maybe?  Think Pat’s Peak, Bousquet, Abram, Greek Peak ….

Sounds good to me, though in 4 years I’d have to come up from Florida. Of the areas you mentioned I’d like to do Bolton, Dartmouth, Pats Peak and Abram. Have done Magic, Plattekill and Greek Peak.

I skied the mighty Mcintyre in Manchester, NH today on the Bohemia Freedom pass.  Not much open but a fun couple hours.  Thanks for the heads up on this.  Granite Gorge, Magic and Black are next up!
