lotsoskiing Was in Sunapee area this weekend and noticed a very prominent open slope from the top of Mt Kearsarge, on the NW side, as I drove east on 11. Was there a slope there? I know there was a small tow somewhere but this looked significant
Jonni Nah, that's a powerline that goes up that side of the mountain. To the best of my knowledge, it's never been something that was widely skied. Though I'm sure some people have done it. That side of the mountain is decently steep though.
FlyingZ I was also looking at this mountain as a possible tour. All I could find was this very verbose write up on the power line.. https://nebackcountry.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-kearsarge-powderline.html?m=1
joshua_segal I hiked Mount Kearsarge some years ago. Problem is: except at the top there are no views along the way. I didn't find it to be particularly interesting.
