Hi Betsy,
I would recommend starting the day at Jackson Gore. Since you’re coming through Rutland, it’s the first base area you’ll hit. The Roundhouse is a good place to set up home base, and you can buy tickets or sign your 7 year old for a lesson at Resort Services. Terrain is better for learning on that side, and the Coleman Brook Express lift makes for a good area to warm up. From there, take the new quantum Four bubble and ski Sunset Strip to Mountain Road to Village Run and then down Jackalope/southern Crossing back to Jackson Gore. That’s a long run that a 7 year old power wedger will enjoy, plus the bubble ride will be fun.
Lots of good green circle terrain on the main mountain – just remember to use the aforementioned Jackalope/southern crossing route to get back to JG in the end.
Would be happy to show you around, but I will be off the mountain on Tuesday. Online purchase in advance, either via okemo.com or Liftopia is probably your best bet for a ticket!
Have a great time!
