The Hooksett Tow was right at the corner of NH-28 and NH-28Bypass. I still don’t understand all the clues for the Tenney/Round Top clues. Would someone explain them?

OK.  Siamese implies linked.  That could mean physically close together or perhaps linked by ownership.  The Wildcat clue might imply that the linking is management or ownership, so I will try Attitash.

 Sorry for the confusion. In retrospect, perhaps they were a bit too cryptic.

You really had to skip the first one, because it would be too difficult to narrow down all the presidents and the poets from New England. 

“lost and trying to find my way” right now is just a handful of areas, among them Balsams, Tenney, a couple others. That’s where you start.

 Balsams could be presidential as Dixville Notch is among the first voters, but that was a red herring. 

Tenney has the relation to a poet, located in Plymouth, where Robert Frost once taught, and maintained long standing ties with the college.

Round Top/Plymouth Notch whatever is another sort of lost, sort of found, definite relation to President Coolidge 

Both ski areas are in Plymouth, but in two different places.  Both have had fits and starts in their roughly 50 year history, both have had locals trying to save the day, both have had planned “backsides”  and both are a bit over 1,000′ vertical.  Very similar histories

“Backside was a Dead End, strippers were Eclipsed”

The “Dead End” backside at Round Top never happened, the “Eclipse” side at Tenney sort of happened.  Tenney management also attempted to have strippers to entertain guests, but it never happened.  Far as I know the only ski resort in New England to attempt a strip show promotion.

I think Joshua’s Attitash guess is right on, they have a double/double and it’s like two areas joined at the hip

Attitash is, admittedly, a great fit for the clues. But I have another in mind… So, another clue that hopefully, uniquely describes only one place: One of the twins had an old name that might remind you of a very popular old television show that still has a bit of a cult following.

Thanks Rick, I never knew that Round Top had expansion plans on the back. For a minute there, I thought you meant Parker’s Gore would reach that far!

I have a printout of a “Master Plan” for “Bear Creek”, but whatever site I got it from is presumably defunct. It had two major new lifts on the east face and one on the west face (present trails are on the north face). The proposed ones go a bit higher than the existing - perhaps could have got them up to an honest 1300-foot vertical.

Confusing: To which clue does your additional clue refer? The name of a chairlift; the name of an area? Both?

In the meantime, since you agree that Attitash was “a correct solution”, I throw out the following"softball":

1. Had a trail renamed and section of the mountain renamed, because some interpreted the original names as racist.

2. Currently has two base lodges, but only one base area.

3. Was NELSAP for a period of time.

I’m finding all kinds of twins, imaginative name similarities to old tv shows, but nothing I can connect to Wildcat!

For example, Sugarbush & Mt Ellen, now joined, used to be Glen Ellen, which is how someone with a mouth full of marbles would pronounce Gilligan’s Island.

Needless to say, I’m still working on it

- I get this. The two areas are probably as close as GG/VV (now Mountain Creek).  Are there connecting trails between BM/BW?
