Probably the worst  name ever for a ski area from the marketing viewpoint. Not to locals though.

I doubt any Snowjournalists have ever skied it, though they may remember discussing it.

Has the same feature as two Maine ski areas, connected to moose. But not connected to moose in this case.

Are there a new set of clues?  There seem to be a number of references to Mt. Abram in the last few postings, but I think bmwskier or snowmaster won the opportunity to provide next set of clues!

For some mysterious reason, a lot of posts in this thread seem to be invisible to some readers. Snowmaster nominated Rickbolger as the last winner with Sugarbush, but I jumped ahead with a new set, which in case it’s invisible to anyone is repeated. I’ve reworded the first clue, which is sort of a new clue.

Nothing to do with Bullwinkle, and not Huff Hills, which I never heard of. See above for the context of the moose clue.

BIg Squaw.Aw, I just re-read the rules. Now I hope I’m wrong….. I guess if you doubt we’ve skied it I have to be wrong.

Big Squaw was the other area in the Pleasant Mountain clue with a moose connection - overlooking Moosehead Lake, as Shawnee overlooks Moose Pond. And its name is not sociologically sensitive, but not that bad for marketing. I’ve skied it, long ago. Was nice. So a good guess, but the subject area is even more obscure, with a much worse name.

I’m having trouble parsing the related to moose, but not in this case clue.

I have to give you full credit, Snowmaster (and is it not too soon to christen you Snowjournalmaster?). Misery Mountain satisfies all the clues, perhaps even better for Clues 1 and 2 than the area I have in mind. Slightly off on Clue 3 because it’s a river, but in principal close enough. Still open to guessing what other out-of-the-way ski area has a really bad name.Amazing that my clues weren’t unique after all. I looked up Mt. Misery and see that they were closed last season due to not enough money. They were having bottle drives.

Bogus Basin doesn’t meet clue 3.It’s yet another ski area that I’ve been within 40 miles of on a business trip, but at the wrong time of year!

My other guess is Spicy Run, sounds the the results of bad Mexican chow. But they’ve aparently been closed a number of years.

Bad Gastein? Nobody wants bad gas in a stein.
