Probably the worst  name ever for a ski area from the marketing viewpoint, at least to foreign visitors.

I doubt any Snowjournalists have ever skied it, though they may remember discussing it.

Has the same feature as two Maine ski areas, connected to moose. But not connected to moose in this case.

The Northeast does go further north than Lonesome Pines. Up there where USicans become foreign visitors.

Just had a situation that might explain it – I was going to reply to the Tenney thread yesterday, clicked into the “Leave a Comment” box but never did comment.

Today when I went back to that thread it took me to the same place, as if I were going to resume my comment exactly where I was. But in the meantime, another day’s worth of comments had been added, and the little page number ticker showed that I was not on the last page.

So if I just went in, didn’t pay close attention, I would’ve been posting behind the times. Don’t know if this explains all of it, or completely

But not connected to moose in this case. </div></blockquote> I have been seeing many of your postings mapnut, so I guess it’s not a system-issue, except to the level of the idiosynchrasy that richbolger mentioned.

Snowjournalists get around, so I am assuming is is a larger area that went out of business a long time ago.  Enchanted Mt. comes to mind, but I have no idea how (or if) it fits the other two clues.

<p>Dry Hill’s a pretty good guess. Don’t know whether you can see the big lake from it - about 10 miles away.</p><p> </p><p>Joshua, the area’s still in business, 2 chairlifts and a decent vertical drop. But the main reason nobody’s guessed is probably because it’s not in some of the better known listings. It is in skimap.org. I’ve dropped a couple of hints about the location that nobody’s picked up. Greenland and Newfoundland are too far east.</p>

Mont Avalanche overlooks Lac St. Joseph, but that area is listed most places I know of.  I suppose avalanches are bad, but in bounds?
