Only area I can think of with extensive glades is Mont Sutton up in the Townships but I’m not sure you are meaning for us to look at Canadian resorts..

As usual, I have one that fits all of the clues, but it probably isn’t the one you are thinking of: Crotched Mt.

More than half of CM is glades albeit most are not on the main trail map.  The side country areas include the Enchanted Forrest and old Crotched to the East and the West Ledges to the west.  And yes, there is a lean-to in the Enchanted Forrest just below the cross-over trail to Old Crotched.

When it is very clear, the leaves are down and the trees were smaller you could make out the back side of Wa Wa. Not any ski trails. It’s about 40 miles away. You can also see the tops of buildings in Boston.It’s pretty grown in now. It looks little like the last pic at the bottom of the Nelsap page.http://www.nelsap.org/ma/sweatt.html

mapnut, if you were referring to Wachusett, it’s officially in Central Mass. I don’t think there’s any ski area in southern Mass since Klein Innsbruck closed many years ago. If there is or was any other(s) I don’t remember it - or them. Of course, I don’t remember lots of things any more.

Note: snowmaster, with his guess of Camden, is up to bat to give the next 3 clues.  With all the chatter on Sweatt Hill that has intervened, that might be obscured.

Has a lift line that over time, as had a double, triple, quad, and gondola on it. Long ago, it’s lift system had something in common with Whittier’s. Has a single lift line that’s split up into 4 trail names.

Sunapee? It looks like the liftline includes Bonanza, Chipmunk and Hansen Chase, not sure what else. Old maps show a double, then a triple before the present summit quad, and I think one of those operated as a gondola in summer. I don’t know the Whittier connection. Same kind of gondola cars?
