I’m thinking the next clues belong to you since you were first with “a correct answer”.  I checked rocket21’s web-site and see that Smuggler’s actually had a poma for a short time in the 60s, so I am assuming it was a detachable, thereby disqualifying my answer.I’m going with Joshua as the arbiter.  Here goes mine.  Should be easy for some…..1) The owners helped build at least one other ski area.2) They are trying to perform a land swap so that they can expand.3) People are highly opinionated about this area:  They either love it or hate it.</blockquote>

I’m thinking Cannon - although they already did the land swap to do the Mittersill connect, and the other area, of course, was Sunapee.

Ok. I’ll give this another try…

1) The area is unfortunately on the NELSAP list.

2) The area was just off an Interstate Highway.

3) The area had night skiing.

King RIdge never had night skiing, but it fits the other clues.

Re Temple Mt.: 101 west of Manchester is a two-lane country road.

Oh: Boxboro Hills fits all three clues: NELSAP, visible from I-495 and night skiing.

Mt Tom MA fits better since it is next to a real interstate. The previously mentioned 495 never leaves Mass. Did Ascutney or Tenney ever have night skiing? I think not

I used to love driving up 91 when passing Mt. Tom all lit up in it’s night skiing glory. It meant we were closer to either Berkshire East or Magic, the two ski areas we skied when I was a kid growing up.

Hmm. Buckturd Basin or Leake Farm? Both are in southern Vermont so perhaps there’s a view of Killington Peak in May.

I think the NELSAP Crotched Mt. fits these clues, although bodily part vs. bodily function might be a question mark. (Killington is visible from its summit).

So you literally mean a bodily function… of humans? My searches for peristalsis ski bowl have come up empty ;-)

Well ok, most people would add an ’ing to think of it as a bodily function. But you can say, I “blank”, or he “blanks” so I think it is bodily function. It can be a noun or a verb. 4. Some animals do it too.  While good guesses, I’m doubting you can see Killington from either Buckturd Basin or Leake Farm. I tried BB from Google Earth and it looks to be out of sight. Since no one seems to know exactly where LF was I’m counting that out too. Anyway, it doesn’t look like Killington is in view from East Bennington.5. I know some SJers have skied here while NELSAP.

Copple Crown, as in coppling? It does face west, but I suspect it’s too far away to see Killington or another major area. And your comment implies it’s a function you can do alone.

It’s not an Urban Dictionary definition, but I may be stretching the word some. 7. Never said it was Killington. 8. Yes you can do it alone but I’ve seen it done in huge groups.
