I suggest that djspookman redo the clues so that they uniquely define a ski area.  I think we’ve determined that there are far too many areas that fit these clues!For example: Every ski area that makes snow is near water!Most on this forum decided that “not a lot of vertical” is under 700 feet.And double chairs abounded among nelsap areas and still exist at many of the proposed answers.

Okokok…. On a lake. Only had a double chair for a lift. Not listed on nelsap.org If I say much else, it will give it away.

Oh, it isn’t? That’s odd!

Here’s mine:

This area has had a total of two chairlifts in it’s operating history.
This area had multiple rope tows. Now some towers still stand and the tow line is skiable from one of them.
This area opened and groomed a trail this season that hadn’t been opened in years.

It’s interesting.  I’ve mentioned, that one of the (few) faults of the nelsap.org list of areas is that alternate names are often not included in the index, but in this instance, that is not the case.  I notice that nelsap is also missing Atlantic Forest/Amesbury (and I am pretty sure they were both on the list at one time).   I suspect there are others missing also!

Blue Hills has had two doubles over its history2. There are still towers from past surface lifts at Blue Hills that I though were from various surface lifts, but I’m not sure if they were rope tows.3.  With all the snow this year, perhaps they groomed and/or opened Beer’s Bluff or the like.

Beers Bluff wasn’t open when I was there, but they did open it this year!
