Evergreen Valley, ME - mapnut A. OK this is another area in Maine that I didn’t ski. B. I drove down there one day after the only time I skied at Mt. Abram, the snow was too sticky so I quit early and went to Mt. X to have a look. C. The lifts were still running and now I wish I’d bought a ticket.
Roxbury Ski Center, NY – ski_it passed to joshua_segal A, This area is out of business. B. It was surface lifts only. C. It may be nameless but it operated under several names.

Gray Rocks, QU - mapnut A. The Balsams has come close to sharing the fate of this ski resort. B. The ski mountain shares its name with a well-known bigger ski mountain. C. The golf course shares its nom with a Disney movie.
Hunter, NY - joshua_segal A. Orion B. The former ferry boat from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia C. Hellegat
Magic, VT - NewEnglandSkier13 A. This area has a lift over 1 mile long. B. This area has over 1,400 continuous vertical feet. C. There are remains of at least two non-operational lifts on the mountain.
Cortina, NY – mapnut A. The one in Italy is not lost. B. There’s a connection with hemlock trees. C. Driving by, it looks like there were a couple of short but very steep runs.
Lonesome Pine, ME , Others: Sugarbush, Wildcat, S6 – ski_it A. Right now it’s 29°F at the base of this area. B. You can buy a one way ticket at this resort. C. See my signature. Page 27

Sorry, I thought this was over when NES13 picked Butternut, because it did meet all the clues as originally written.  Well, since we’re still waiting for snow, here’s a reboot, with clue clarification

1. Once had a much different name. Completely different, except both old and new are two-word names.

2. New name and old name both describe the geographical location

3. If the ski school chair isn’t running, you need to use three lifts to get to the top of the bunny hill (not novice terrain, but pure beginner hill)

New clue:  northeast but not New England

I’m pretty sure he referring to a chair that primarly accesses novice terrain such as the double at Black Mountain, Maine.

OK, should be an easy one:1. Probably one of the most frequently bypassed ski areas2. Shared it’s name with a much larger resort elsewhere3. Base elevation is higher than it’s much more popular neighbor
