Yes to Snowmaster, for XC.You know, those weren’t the ones I was thinking of, but I have to give it to NES13 & you. Because at Wildcat my understanding is that it is truly is one-way, whereas the place I had in mind it could be either one-way or a single ride. I had thought it was a one-way, but looking again I see it is not necessarily so. Also, I couldn’t find their base temp. last nite. It was 34 over at Attitash and 18 on top of the big guy. So interpolating & figuring elevation gain, steering currents & cold avection gives 29° at Wildcat. Serves me right for not making it unique enough. I hadn’t heard that Sugarbush did that too, but probably more places than I am aware of do. Though I remember the time we were hiking up to the summit of Saddleback & the lift attendant came out of his shack to stop us. After we dropped our skis he let us continue. He pointed out we’d be in a world of hurt if we attempted to go down the backside into a huge wilderness area. I was thinking of a more dreary place.

Edit: You may like to purchase an inexpensive one time T-bar pass that will lift you up to the top! Then ski the trails over to the Fort Kent Outdoor Ski Center and return to the Lonesome Pine Lodge by going down the Green Bean Ski Trails.

Well hey Butternut is technically correct, it does require three lifts and has had two vastly different names.  I meant the same geographical location with two different geographical names, but I obviously wasn’t clear on that.

Don’t know about clue 3, but Glebe Mountain Farm and Magic Mountain fit clues 1 and 2; as does Pleasant Mt. and Shawnee Peak.

I think Mt. Rose Nevada fits the bill also.They are open for the season. Go to their website and view the live webcams. They are getting pummeled with snow.

That’s novice terrain, far as I know they have a single bunny hill near the lodge?   I think of bunny hill as that first flat slope where everybody falls down, as opposed to novice trails.  Could argue that my questions weren’t clear enough; my bad.

Kissing Bridge, NY – Ciscokid passed to IBRAKEFORTBARS A. I am an open area not that far from a city that was impacted by a famous blizzard, though I am not referring to any recently. B. About 30 years ago my trail count was reduced from about 50 to 35 - and yet I lost no trails! I did lose a tandem Hall t-bar to a chairlift then. C. Part of my name was described by sociologist Tony Campolo to be, “a mouthful of nothing that tastes like heaven and sounds like a cow pulling its feet out of mud!”

Mount Towanda, MA - rickbolger A. I am bordered by a municipal water utility, a Ford Dealership, a public walking path, and all sorts of other things. B. There is a gated road to my summit. You may walk it, but you can’t drive it. C. Many Tanners skied here.
Locust Lawn moved to Topsfield aka Wheatland’s Hill - NewEnglandSkier13 A. This area is abandoned, but the main slope is kept clear and can be used for backcountry skiing or sledding. B. One is a little unusual in that it never had any T-bars. The other once had 2 T-bars replaced by a chairlift. C. Both areas have had their vertical drop increased from when they first opened. One by going up in the 80’s, the other by going down in the 60’s.
