-Sugarloaf

-Waterville Valley

-Killington (next year)

-not sure about Stowe….maybe a long time ago

Cannon, Killington, Waterville, Lake Placid & Sugarloaf have the only World Cup alpine runs in the east  that I can recall. Unless you mean Snowboarding, Freestyle, Nordic or Paralympic. Edit: sorry Goober didn’t see ur prior post before I posted this

If you go on the FIS website, you will see that there are quite a lot of trails that are homologated (approved) for World Cup races in the northeast. The answer lies on that list

Forgot Cannon, and I thought NE meant New England, so did not include LP. 

FIS homologation does not necessarily mean World Cup homologation. 

WC requires for:

SL: min 140 m for women, 180 for men

GS: 300 for both

SG: 400 for both

Ordinary FIS and ENL races have shorter requirements.

If a trail is FIS approved and meets WC vertical, you can run WC on it, so not all FIS homologated trails can accommodate WC. FIS page does not show what is WC and what isn’t; just lists trail names and vertical.

In any case, I have no idea what area you are referring to, regardless of this exercise…

I’ve got no clue on this one - but the wonderful side benefits of this thread is the collection of obscuranta available on this list. Up until two years ago, I didn’t even knew the word, “homologate”. Now,(thank you Goober) I even know that WC requires for: SL: min 140 m for women, 180 for men; GS: 300 for both; and SG: 400 for both.

Ya never said the WC trail wasn’t at the ski area either >:) Well you can go up the T at Lonesome Pine and ski down to the WC Nordic 10th Mountain Division Trails on the backside. Not sure about the bang bang gunstock but I think they do biathlons. You can walk there from downtown Fort Kent. Not sure what view in the Post Office you’d see unless it is your Wanted Poster - Rick. Oh wait you can get your passport or passport card there to go to Canada which is what you see up there. I went to my library for mine.

P. Hill would be a longer drive for Regis than Jay would be, so no. In the westerns you often need a special map to find these places. You’ll most likely need a special map to find this place.
