Well I just happened to have gone to both, but haven’t skied Dynamite. Not too many ball fields, I think… one more I guess is Sweatt Hill, MA - has a ball field in it now. Oh darn, my turn to play ball?

It appears that ski_it got Dynamite Hill and therefore is up.  Since it’s been 5-days, I am going to suggest that NJSki, who bumped the thread, give us the next 3 clues.

OK, I’ll pinch hit1. Listed on Nelsap page2. Built before it’s much larger neighbor, which was built before IT’S much larger neighbor3. If it were to reopen, it would have the highest base elevation in it’s state

The Cog Railway fits every clue I believe.

Not sure what the larger neighbor and the much larger neighbor could be, but the Cog certainly satisfies the age and elevation clues.I’m having trouble thinking of a large area built before a larger area, and in ME, VT or NH, and the subject area base elevation would have to be over 2,000 feet. I’ll go with one of the little areas around Lake Placid. Scott’s Cobble is the oldest (1938), and the base elevation is about 2,000 feet. The larger area would be Marble Mountain, followed by the much larger Whiteface.

So it can’t be in NH, RI, CT, ME, or MA. That only leaves VT, NY, and maybe PA or NJ.

Dick’s Tow, VT?

Garnet Mountain, near North Creek Ski Bowl, near Gore? Base elevation around 2,000 feet, maybe slightly higher than Gore’s. I don’t think it’s as old as the Bowl, though.There’s only an handful of near-touching areas. Carinthia and Haystack aren’t as old as Mt. Snow, Stowe is older than Smuggler’s Notch, Snow’s Mt. at Waterville Valley is not that high, Cannon is older than Mittersill, and there are a couple of NELSAP areas near Pico, but not as high. What have I forgotten?
