Sunrise certainly fits all the clues.  I skied there many years ago, although the J-bar wasn’t running.  Very small, but fun little area.  I’ll have to swing by and see what it looks like next time in the area visiting relatives.

I skied it in 2011 while NELSAP. One trail was wide open, another passable. I recommend not walking on the porch around the lodge, the planks were pretty rotten.

Correct!Sunrise was local to my house as a kid and was the original hill that inspired me to follow and contribute to NELSAP. Great guess!

If you mean skier’s right, I did ski it in March 2011. It was fairly narrowed and it ended up more like a XC or hiking trail IIRC.

Found these from January of 2011. You could have also skied the J-bar with enough snow, but the end was narrow & no runout.

No clue of the answer but the definition of Canton might be a good clue: “A small territorial district, especially one of the states of the Swiss confederation.”

Clue 2 makes no sense: Greeley said, “Go west young man” but 90°s is the south pole and there is no west from there - only north!

OK, so it is either north or south of something and is that something Canton meant to be Canton, NY?  If so, St. Lawrence Snow Bowl?

These quizzes get very tough when they’re about small obscure areas. Here’s an easy one in the meanwhile. I’m only going to give 2 clues for now; the first one alone should be enough. If not, I’ll give the third one tomorrow. I’m holding it back because it too should be enough all by itself.1: The mountain the ski area is on shares a name with a stream and valley on the opposite side of  the mountain range.2: (Only a few of you will get this.)
