snowphoenix;c-68083 wrote The Sun Bowl base is a bit lower in elevation than the main base, so one needs to ride two lifts (Sunrise and Shooting Star) to ski the whole vertical drop.
Pro tip: From the main base use the gondola -- take Upper Kidderbrook from the summit, ski that to Lower Kidderbrook, and voila! Entire vertical drop skied from one lift. There are other trail combinations but this is the easiest to remember.

I was just about to say the same thing about being able to get the whole vertical from the Gondola. I think we did Black Bear>Old 8>91 to get to the Sunrise Express. It was a little bit of a slog on 91 by the condos but I was able to make it without unstrapping my snowboard.

King Ridge, probably?

1)Visible from I89,
2)White Rabbit refers to "Alice" which is probably Alice in Wonderland (theme of the trail names and area in general), and
3) as far as I know (this is where I've skied most frequently in both of my last 2 ski seasons - lift served or otherwise) there are no remaining lifts.

Yup. Figured it would be easy. I wish I had gone there when it was operating, as it looks interesting.

Much of the area is far too flat to be skied on anything other than a thin layer. After that very late january dump we got, there was anywhere between 8-14" of untouched snow on the ground - Brillig's was unskiable in most parts without some pole pushing. Lobster and Jabberwocky are both skiable. I'm no trespasser, so I can't attest to whether trails 15, 16, 17 on the trail map are enjoyable. At the least, its a beautiful area with nice views. There is some fun backcountry off the SRK greenway nearby, too!

Anyway - I'll think up the next set of clues and come back to this soon.

Alrighty - here we go. This may be relatively easy - we’ll see.

1) The single lift on property was purportedly the longest of its kind at time of install
2) Was solely a single slope - at least, in its earlier iteration
3) The operation’s owner infamously is “center podium” for other exploits - though this NELSAP area was not one of them

Gunstock Ski Hoist? I think it had one of the longest rope tows around. Not sure how it fits clue #3 though

Isuppose I did not complete full due diligence in writing this question, as a second solution appears to be Aeolus.

The answer I was looking for (also a J-bar area arguably claiming to be the longest out there according to NELSAP) happens to be NYLSAP.

Indeed - Prospect/Cobble was the one I was going for!

1) Only lift on property was purportedly the longest of its kind at time of install - the J bar may have been slightly shorter than Aeolus's, though NELSAP states "2400' long J-bar. This was the only overhead cable lift in New York at the time, and was one of, if not the longest overhead cable lifts in the U.S."

2) Solely a single slope - self explanatory

3) Center podium - a clever way to say first place, or a blue ribbon - linking to PBR and Fred Pabst.

Makes sense, I didn't remember that thread but that's kind of funny.

Here are my clues:
1. Both of this area's chairlifts were relocated from other ski areas
2. The nickname of a nearby ski area could also be applied to this area
3. At one point it had a business model that incentivized skiers to own part of the ski area
