justkeepmovingne snowphoenix;c-68223 wroteMakes sense, I didn't remember that thread but that's kind of funny. Here are my clues: 1. Both of this area's chairlifts were relocated from other ski areas 2. The nickname of a nearby ski area could also be applied to this area 3. At one point it had a business model that incentivized skiers to own part of the ski area How about Mt. Tom (MA)?
snowphoenix lotsoskiing;c-68251 wroteWatatic? 1) both came from RI? 2) Wa Wa 3) Stock offerings in the 60's Yup! I think one of the double chairs was from MA and the other was from RI. Your turn!
lotsoskiing 1) Vertical was one of the highest in its state 2) Had something in common with Stowe and Burke (aside from the fact that they all are ski areas...duh) 3) No chairlifts
ski_it snowphoenix;c-68247 wroteNot Plattekill. Hint: it's a NELSAP area (not NYLSAP).Well that would have been good to know! Good job Lotsoskiing!
lotsoskiing joshua_segal;c-68257 wrotePine Top in RI fits clues 1 and 3. I don't know if it fits clue 2. True and no on #2
lotsoskiing rickbolger;c-68271 wroteBeartown MA We have a winner! 1)800+ is pretty big for MA 2) CCC trails 3) rope tows only
rickbolger now it's my turn to screw this up? Never got this right before, everybody must be snoozing. Here's one I stumbled on in my quest for Beartown. 1. CCC Trails. You can't really ski those trails, but you can still ski here 2. You can even ski under a roadway 3. Adams still looms large here
rickbolger Greylock is a great guess but I believe 1. you can still ski at least one of the CCC trails? So no 2. I don't know, you may be correct 3. Greylock literally looms large over Adams, but I suppose you are figuratively right, but technically no. well it's close, but not nearly as close as lotsoskiing's effort
NewEnglandSkier13 My initial thought was Stowe, but I don't think you can ski under any road and the CCC trails are mostly still skiable, if significantly altered.

rickbolger yessir, would accept Little Wildcat or Great Glen Trails. Lotsoskiing had a leaner Keeping it in the land of highway sinkholes, NJSki is up
NJSki Okay, here we go: 1. Although it was close to a Renaissance, the gamble did not come through 2. It had two names, one being quite formal 3. At it's peak, it had 4 chairs and a Bowl
