Yep! I knew that clue would be a giveaway. Big upgrade to go from t-bar to quad. Looks like a nice little area.

It's unusual to go this long without someone at least taking a guess.

Can you confirm
1. That the area is in New England;
2. That the area is NELSAP
3. That when the area went on the NELSAP list, that its configuration was 3 surface lifts; only one of which was a rope tow.

Tyrol had a chairlift. I thought Timber Ridge fit 1 and 2, but it had a chairlift when it went NELSAP.

I also thought of Catskill Ski Center, aka Bobcat, but I couldn't come up with a 3rd name.

This area is in fact on the NELSAP webpage. Its configuration was indeed 3 surface lifts, one being a rope tow on its webpage listing.

Not any of Tyrol, Catskill or Timber Ridge. One of these guesses is in the correct state, though.

Not Frontenac. I don't believe - even at its largest size - they ever operated 3 lifts concurrently.

The area of similar size it's not 5 miles from is Maple Ski Ridge; where I in fact learned to ski.

Cool. Always fun to discover these little gems...sad they are gone, but MSR is still kicking.

Next up:
1) Was originally owned by same owner who had a place 14 miles up the road that is operating, but trails at this area are completely grown in
2) Name rhymes with the town it is in
3) renowned sculptor has studio near the former base area.

Jericho in Marlborough is the only rhyme I could come up with, and I know at least part of the slope is kept clear...

Maybe Perry [hill]/Waterbury?...
