Were you thinking of Mont Bellevue? It has a cross at the top and a carpet on the liftline of an old Pomalift, per NES13's trip report from earlier this season. Not sure about its ownership though
That's the one! Orignal also has a cross, but it isn't nearly as large or iconic as Bellevue's.
1. This ski area is government owned. (Mont Bellevue is owned and operated by the city of Sherbrooke.)
2. A carpet lift once shared a lift line with an overhead cable surface lift here. (Mount Bellevue has a carpet which runs alongside a retired high-speed pomalift. For a few years, they were both operational.)
3. The mountain is at least as well known for a structure at its summit as it is for having a ski area. (The huge cross at the summit lights up at night and is easily visible from most of the city.)
