I’m not doing any research at all for this, so this could be a totally wrong guess. How about Catamount? I have no idea what its address has ever been, but considering it exists both in MA and NY, maybe the state has changed for its mailing address at some point despite never moving?

I do know its name was once Catamount Hill instead of Mountain.

It also only has 1 trail skier’s left off the summit (technically - though it splits soon after). Was that trail ever named differently from Upper Sidewinder?

This is easy. I think 🤔... but I don't want to come up with the next question🤷‍♂️. A town in VT used to be called Sherburne, where the waters flow north. There was a trail called Boomerang. And the name has changed. Kinda. This make sense 😁?

The physical address is in Mendham, mailing address is in Killington. West & north side of the mountain drain into Menden Brook, which drains into otter Creek Killington post office drains into Kent Brook, which drains into the ottoquechee and then the Connecticut river. It’s possible that some snow melt from lookers left trails also drain into Kent Brook.
The post office has been renamed, probably more times than the town, but the ZIP Code has not changed since July 1963 when the zone improvement plan was implemented by the USPS.

I had a tie a few items ago and deferred to the other, so I'll take Chuckstah's invitation to keep the thread going.

1. A NELSAP area
2. Last run by a guy who tried re-open a popular (now backcountry) out-of-business ski area as a 4-season's area.
3. Following a failed experience at this ski area, he ran another area into the ground (which has now re-opened)

If you know the answer, you can probably name the other 2-ski areas.

Speaking of Prospect - it's an incredible shame what happened to Prospect. A base area at 2150' in the Northeast is nearly unmatched. That should have been a superpower for it - they get such a dramatic increase of snow from other surrounding areas and hold it quite well from all my experiences with it.

I'm glad they're doing well as a nordic center, and as a backcountry person I appreciate it for what it is. Still a shame they aren't a lift served downhill ski center anymore, though.
