It depends on how March goes. We stay open as long as people keep coming. As of now, it is looking like we will either close on April 5th or April 12th.

We are still 100% open, but bare spots are showing up in places. Colder temperatures today mean that the snow is quite firm. Tomorrow looks like it will be warmer, which should make for some great spring skiing. Snowmaking trails still have a good base, but natural trails are getting down to the last few feet of snow.

True spring conditions today! Soft turns were to be had across the mountain on trails and in glades. Today was probably the last day at 100% open, but there are still a few good weeks of skiing left! All of the below photos are from trails with only natural snow.

Night skiing at Black:
Sam, when it's still light, say 4 - 6 PM this week, can one ski all trails and glades, or are those beyond lighted areas roped off after 4?

They aren't roped off until after dark. Some don't get roped off at all.

That grassy photo of BMOM is what the Poconos are supposed to look like in March -- not western Maine :s

So far I've had 16 days in the east, 8 of which ranged from extremely good to fantastic...but I have to temper that with the fact that only 1 day was south of Albany NY and that was average at best. If this warm spell kills the season I think you'll have to knock the ranking down a notch or two. But I appreciate your optimism!!

Yeah, not great snowpack for this time of year. That photo is the worst spot on the mountain, so it isn't all too bad yet.

Wow, today far surpassed my expectations! Things softened up by 10:00 and the mountain is still 100% open. We got a few new inches of snow over the week, so snow cover is similar to last weekend. The sun is out and it is all around perfect spring skiing. Tomorrow looks a bit colder, so things will likely be firmer.
