Weather looks ok here in Warren for a couple of days and then a big warm up through Sunday into Monday.

Snowmaking at Stratton Mountain, but not TTB right now. Looks like upper elevations only. Makes sense with the warm-up in the forecast. Snowmaking on North American and what looks like Upper East/West Meadow.

Its pretty much full now, and those not making snow this morning (Magic) will be tonight. Everyone will be TBT too. Looks good through Thursday morning. Thereafter a warm up - but how significant/long is still up in the air.

Regardless of how much snow gets produced in the next 48hrs or so and the temps thereafter, the bigger looming question, especially for VT ski areas apparently, is will Gov Scott even let them spin their lifts in the next few weeks or not? Rumor mill is certainly suggesting that in his weekly Tuesday COVID update later today, that he may keep ski resorts closed for the time being......

Be nice if it was on a good base on manmade snow, I am as long as our Governor still allows skiing, 99.9% we tailgate for lunch anyways, plus you can still get a bloody mary on the 1,500 sq foot deck off of R-Dubs.

There have been meetings among Northeast governors about this type of stuff (except NH doesn't seem to be included?). It would make sense for the states to act uniformly, together, to avoid super spreader events.

The mountains seem to be willing to put off opening for a few days to prepare more terrain and lifts for the initial onslaught. Going the extra mile and opening 12-15 mountains the same day with similar rules and experiences might do a lot to avoid shutdowns in the following weeks.

This would be an excellent idea and a forward thinking solution to the initial opening crowds. Hopefully it's being discussed... but getting the various state leaders on the same page... not sure that happens. But one can hope.

Stowe announced opening day is Nov 25, next Wednesday. Good sign.

Stratton snowmaking is only on the upper mountain. Looks like it's on several different trails. Sugarloaf making snow TTB on Tote Road, Bridelchain and Candyside. No announced opening day.
