Mt Snow Nov 25 as well. Looks like Nov 27 for wildcat

Seems like just about everyone who had a pre-Thanksgiving open is pushing back their open date. Current snowmaking window simply not enough when combined with need for more trails/lifts on day 1. Good news is the models today look better than prior regarding temps and storms over the next week. Let's hope they continue to improve.

I have been told K is looking at Friday now. Not enough push time before then.

sugarloaf;c-44628 wroteStratton snowmaking is only on the upper mountain. Looks like it's on several different trails.
Yup, upper mountain only but pounding 5 routes - Black Bear, Polar Bear, North American, Spruce and Drifter. Pretty impressive snow cloud on the web cams this morning, look forward to seeing the whales in the AM. Stratton's snowmaking power often gets overlooked but it's IMHO right up with the rest of the big boys. Regardless, they are in no rush to open, I've heard some estimates as late as mid Dec.

The snowguns are blazing at BMOM!

Loon has 16 trails lit up. Should be ready to go if they can figure out the hack. Over 3 weeks of nothing from Boyne, but at least they put up a social media post or 2. I wonder if they even know who their passholders are?

Bristol Mt made some snow. I could be wrong, but they must have the best snowmaking in N.Y. They have 100% coverage, even on their X-Country trails. If you are looking for snowmaking guns, you can't not see them when you are there.

Sugarbush:
Status update for Mon, Nov 16
We're getting excited for the 2020/21 winter season, and we hope you are too. We have already seen over a foot of snow fall on the mountain, and we cannot wait to see plenty more. Given the mild temperatures we have seen recently, our original projected Opening Day of Saturday, November 21st for Lincoln Peak has been delayed. Currently, we are looking at later this month for an opening, weather dependent, and will update you as soon as we have more clarity. Mt. Ellen remains on track for an opening on Friday, December 18th.
Snowmaking is in progress. As temps allow, we'll be focusing on Snowball and Spring Fling off of the Valley House Quad and Pushover, Sugarbush Road, and First Timer off of the Gate House Quad and Welcome Mat. We may adjust snowmaking operations to higher elevations based on available temperatures. Our goal is to open terrain for all abilities as soon as possible, as well as spread skiers and riders out to different lifts.

Killington:
Greetings From Killington
We have exciting news—winter starts now! The Beast opens for Season Passholders and Ikon Passholders tomorrow, Friday, November 20. Starting Monday, November 23, we will be open for everyone else including day ticket users, Express Card holders and Season Pass bring a friend guests.
Traveling from out of state? Non-Vermont residents must adhere to the quarantine guidelines. Before heading to the mountain, check the current travel restrictions to ensure you're eligible to visit.
For the foreseeable future, we'll be skiing and riding on typical early season, advanced-level trail conditions, and snowmaking and other on-mountain operations may be in progress throughout the day on open terrain. As usual, no beginner terrain is available at this time. Unlike years past, however, we'll be skiing and riding top-to-bottom off Killington and Snowdown peaks serviced by multiple lifts: the K-1 Express Gondola, Snowdon Six Express, Snowdon Triple and North Ridge Quad. In addition to top-to-bottom skiing and riding, our early season Woodward Pop Up Park on Reason will be ready for Opening Day. Keep an eye on the Conditions Report for the latest updates as you plan your trip to Killington. We don’t anticipate having any beginner terrain available until mid-December.
Parking reservations and lift ticket sales are now live and available for booking online. Note that parking reservations for Nov. 21-22 will not be available to reserve until 7:30 a.m. the day prior. Make sure you first reserve parking for the days you wish to visit to ensure availability, then go ahead and book your lift tickets. As always, the earlier you buy, the bigger the savings.
As you already know, things are going to be different this year. We'll need every skier and rider to do their part to help us stay safe and stay open. To do that, we’ve adjusted our operations and implemented state health guidelines through Operation Stay Safe.
Face masks completely covering the nose and mouth are required at all times, while indoors and outdoors, unless you are seated and eating or drinking. We strongly suggest bringing one or two extra face masks, so you can change them if they get wet. Please be respectful of our state mask guidelines and please don’t make our staff ask or remind you. Consistent mask wearing will help us stay safe and stay open, because skiing and riding are way more fun than quarantine.
The K-1 base lodge is sporting a new layout to abide by state capacity regulations and to accommodate physical distancing and contact tracing. The lodge is now broken out into separate floors; each with specific traffic flow patterns you'll need to observe. We strongly recommend treating your car like a base lodge and booting up in the parking lot, bringing food to eat at your vehicle and warming in your car as needed. If you must boot up inside, you may do so, but be aware that there is a specific process you'll need to follow.
Read through our Winter Operations page for everything you need to know about visiting Killington this winter. Make sure you check back often throughout the season, as we'll be updating this page regularly with new guidelines and modifications to our current operations as needed.
We can't wait to get this winter season underway. See you on the mountain soon!

Sugarbush update as of 11/19/2020
Opening Day
As you already know, we had to delay our Opening Day scheduled for this weekend due to a lack of snow. The recent warm-up, and subsequent warm-up happening right now, have altered our snowmaking plans. Right now we’re making snow off of Heaven’s Gate since base temps have been too warm. That means we will likely adjust what terrain we plan to have available when we do open. We’ll be sending out updates and updating our snow report as soon as we have a set Opening Day in mind.

Cannon:
"OPENING DAY IS DELAYED
Winter preparations are full steam ahead but the weather isn't quite cooperating for consistent snowmaking and we will not be ready to open by next Friday based on the forecast. Our next goal will be Friday, December 4th, but the weather will completely dictate whether we can hit that target."
joshua_segal
As best as I can tell, today (11/20/20) is opening day in the Northeast, with Killington opening for pass holders only and Wachusett open to the public. Any others?
