So... how much longer are we going to put up with Vail's lack of transparency and lack of communications? Between the continued push for season pass sales, lack of communications, and lack of concern towards their guest concern's it's obvious they only care about their profits. Think it's time to consider a class action lawsuit so we can recover the money we put out (in good faith) back during the summer/early fall.

Has anyone heard anything about an Attestation Form for passholders yet?
Stratton/Sugarbush published theirs. According to the state, everyone needs to sign one, right? Did Killington have one this weekend?
I would appreciate any Mount Snow reports from folks who go tomorrow morning. I have a limited window to get away from work and am going to go at the end of the day to ski ice-rut-bumps rather than deal with any morning surprises.

The system worked well today with only a short wait. Problem is there are no NH opening dates, still. No communication, still. You have to go in and see if anything is available yet. Just clogs up the waiting room. Pathetic.
Edit
I figured out the algorithm today. It's just like Ticketmaster. It will get interesting when day tickets go on sale.

I haven't tried to make a reservation or get any info out of Vail except try to see a few web cams. But the best information I have received so far is in two emails from the seasonal locker room manager at Mt Snow. They make suggestions about not using the locker. Preferred parking, ski valet storage and they are looking to set up more outdoor areas to boot up. Then they explain in detail the new locker room rules.
I'm not renting since I can't get there from here....

The "snow" report on Mt Snow's web site as of 8:48pm on Monday 11/30... Not sure the need to update the report at 8:48pm without mentioning anything about Tues 12/1. 3/4 of this report has been the same (they only change the 1st sentence) for the past 5 days. On a positive note, they have stopped calling for 3-7" of overnight snow as they have for the past 3 nights.
MOUNT SNOW WEATHER FORECAST
Updated November 30, 2020 at 8:48 PM
Monday brings a chance for some wet weather and wind but things look up as the week goes on. Lifts open at 9 a.m. and we are planning to have 3 lifts: Canyon Express, Outpost, and Discovery Shuttle, and 8 trails on 62 acres: Free Fall, River Run, Cascade, Canyon, Long John, Beaver Hill, High Traverse, and Launch Pad.
This season, our unrivaled commitment to the safety of our guests, employees and our communities takes on more importance than ever. Face coverings are required, physical distancing must be maintained, and you must have a reservation for on-mountain access. We ask that you please boot up in your vehicles and there will be no bags permitted in the base lodges. You'll need to make a reservation for dining. For grab & go food and drink items, Reuben's is open. More details here.

And to rub salt in the wound they sent this email out today.
Mount Snow Cyber Sale
Cyber Sale Ends Tomorrow
The biggest sale of the ends tomorrow. Don't miss booking your Mount Snow getaway with lodging rates from $209 per night. Don’t forget, when you purchase a pass you get priority access to reserve the days you want to ski and ride. Book by midnight tomorrow to get the best value.
Chuckstah
I think that $209 was $99, or maybe $79 last season, midweek any way. But don't forget you get 20 percent off with a pass lol.....

I'm sure it may be a fat fingered issue on Vail's IT/Web Department front, but now when you go to any Vail mountain's website, you're sent to a "waiting room" page.
EDIT: Just realized you have to click "Continue to Site" at the bottom. Still seems like a poor setup to me.

It's like that every Wednesday afternoon whet the following weeks reservations open up. Every individual website brings you to the waiting room promo page, as that's what the vast majority are looking for on Wednesday afternoons.

Since Vail will not give you this info, here is what I have to share today 12/2 as of 5pm at Mt. Snow:
Light snow most of the day - started to stick a bit around 2pm. Coating/dusting to maybe an inch up to now.
Same routes down: Long John - Cascade/Canyon - Freefall
Snow making - resurfaced/ing long john 3/4 down - active all day. Resurfaced/ing Cascade/Canyon 3/4 down. No resurfacing of Freefall - it was a mess.
Snow making - terrain expansion. Deer Run active all day. The Gulch from the top of Heavy Metal down looks to be lit up for a good portion. No other snowmaking except 2 guns at the base of Challenger/Outpost.
One would think they would want to promote their terrain expansion efforts. But, everything is plain vanilla vague.

I know the weather hasn't been good but I don't think you'll see the aggression Mount Snow had when Peaks owned them. Back with Peaks, Mount Snow was their flagship resort and we got use to great snowmaking/grooming, trail expansion, and all the perks we had. With Vail, Mount Snow isn't high on their resort list! Not when you have Okemo, Stowe, & Wildcat on the eastern list. Sadly the days of being spoiled are over.

A Vail Sucks thread emerged on Alpine Zone today. Oh well. They'll take that to the n'th degree.
I feel bad for the NH folks waiting on wildcat/attitash/Sunapee. Hopefully CM will make their typical opener.
Beast Patroller is right:: Mt' Snow is as much a flagship now as the Patriots are a dynasty. I'm happy they are open though. It's been a good mental exercise getting out these past few days.

I've been reading the Azone Vail Sucks also, but have so far refrained from posting. I'm sure that will change when I get really frustrated with the mothership.
As for not opening anything in NH, I think it's unacceptable in Covid times. It just encourages more interstate travel. But what do I know?
Rumour is days will be reservable daily now going out one extra day, rather than just on Wednesday. But of course, nothing official from the Masters of communication.

Wildcat? Come on, Mount Snow must make a ton more money than them.
Oh sorry, maybe you meant flagship of NH

"As we get ready to transition into the core season, pass holders can now book week-of reservations daily for the following seven days. A new day will be available for week-of reservations at 2 a.m. ET each morning instead of a once-a-week release. Please only reserve days you plan to ski and ride to give other pass holders an opportunity to enjoy the mountains."
Guessing this will be the across the board EPIC policy very shortly... Also gives extra purpose to that often middle aged trait of the 3AM trip to the bathroom!!

so vail didn't announce this in a coordinated effort across multiple email spam platforms? Just for Okemo for now? And now we have to get up at 2am. F' Vail. This becomes a greater clown show every day.
As an aside, I booked multiple days on each Wed. Then, as I realized no one was here, I cancelled them the day before. Then I rebooked them when I was ready to go out day of. This whole thing actually wasn't a bad idea in theory- especially to comply with various state's covid rules. BUT, the fact that they lumped the whole country into the Wednesday circus waiting room was completely idiotic - like Red Skelton designed the system. Today - I waited an hour and once in booked every single day - knowing that I would likely just cancel the night before then rebook the next morning. Caveat - I have not skied weekends yet so I might just hold on to those to see how it goes.

Thanks 😊
And great. I can get up at 2 am to reserve the leftovers that day ticket buyers didn't gobble up. Another EPIC fail. Hear ya on the middle of the night call☹️

I'm starting to think the poor communication is intentional. When they needed us to buy passes, we were bombarded with emails and tick tocks and all sorts of messaging.
Now, as long as we get our seven ski days, they consider us whole. They know that, as a group overall, we bring bag lunches and don't rent skis or rooms or book lessons. So they have no need to promote additional days to us, nor give attractive snow reports, nor anything.
The northeast pass will need to be $200 or less for me to buy it again next season. That they continue to use the term "season pass" is criminal.
