I come out of Indianhead Riblet booth seat steak sandwich lunch to meet back up with the ever wandering Jaytrem, this average sized older gentleman is about to walk in to” check to see if there’s any live music for St Patty’s day”.
He says to me “ you ski as FAT as you are?” word for word. I start laughing and say well yea probably over a half century’s worth but said most folks look at my height but never ask my weight, you win the award for calling me out on my gut girth.
We continue on for a couple minutes and part our ways and Jaytrem just is the most calm, patient and accommodating skier I have ever spent 4 days with never once verbally attacking the fat man except for our disagreements of religion and politics of course, but that doesn’t matter when there’s the common bond of the love of skiing.
