Vail Sucks 2021/20??

It looks like Wildcat also will not have any sort of summer operations. The only item on their website under the activities and events heading is an event calendar which lists no events.

Meanwhile, Cranmore looks like they will be offering close to their full array of summer activities while also building a new lodge, new hotel, and overhauling their high speed quad.

Yeah, I just saw that. It's pretty lame considering their normal offerings, but at least it's better than nothing. They also seem confused about whether it will be chairlift or gondola rides.

If you are looking forward to visiting a Vail Resort & complaining about the parking with friends (or bringing friends to cut the cost) you may want to act quickly.

The Buddy Pass add on free feature ends on 4/22/22. Ticket prices apparently don't go up yet, but the cut rate "Buddy Pass" Feature does end.

Well after 1 year, 4 months and more, the refund checks arrived Saturday. Now we can afford to buy one ski each without a binding.

And in a response to our 2nd BBB complaint they kinda, sorta said sorry, not sorry.
"Unfortunately, they are experiencing a high volume of requests and some refund payment disbursements have been delayed. ....I am truly sorry for the delay in obtaining the refund payment for you."

After about a year of complaints, I'm contemplating closing this thread and invite someone to start a 2022-23 thread. The highlights/lowlights of this thread, now on its 24th page, have included:
- Huge problems with customer service including but not limited to refunds/rebates
- Huge problems with snowmaking
- Huge problems with staffing areas
- A lot of complaints about charging for parking
- Specific to CM: Loss of more than 50% of the night-skiing product
- Bad web sites

At this point, most of the complaints are in the category of beating a dead horse. My hope is that next season will be better.

Because I work for Vail, as long as there were no personal attacks and a spirited debate, I let the thread go. Despite having been asked to shut it down several times. I considered it to be "healthy venting".

I'll leave it open for now, to get a few inputs about should I close it or should I let it go.

I have 2 more 21/22 days at a Vail resort, so please don't shut down yet.

At Whistler (Blackcomb only at this point). The good, for some reason they open the lifts 30+ min ahead of schedule, and close some a good 15+ min after scheduled. The bad, they planned on closing some lifts for the season and claiming it's their normal operating procedure. Apparently that was never the case, locals are up in arms. Luckily 7th Heaven is broken, so they've been running the much preffered Glacier chair that they planned to close. We'll see what happens today/tomorrow.

Been mostly powder days here all week. Was kinda hoping for some spring skiing, but not complaining.

One more thing, their website's lift/trail status page does not ever seem to match up with what's really open/closed or planned. Very strange, maybe controlled from CO?
