I had a couple of great, very different days this week at Sunapee. . Sunday, 3/24 was a great bluebird powder day. It was very crowded, with lift issues. Both summit quads didn't get up and running til 11ish due to icing. (I didn't notice any ice). Parking was full when I pulled in just after 11, trying to time lifts opening and snagging a spot as people were leaving. It worked. The N. Peak triple was ski on, with a 3-5 minutes wait in the singles line on Sunbowl. I never did try the main Summit chair. The line looked long. The skiing was great with lots of untracked in the glades off the summit that had just opened, especially the unmapped stuff. All the trails with any pitch bumped up quickly with great hero snow. Awesome day!
Yesterday, March 26 was good as well, but very different. It has low crowds, but also featured clouds, flat light, and an occasional light mist that required goggle wiping. Not ideal but still a nice spring surface with big soft bumps. It got really sticky in the afternoon and I exited fairly early, around 2. Good overall day. A couple pics from Sunday, with the second from Tuesday
