To Vail Resorts, Inc,
You’re sorry? That’s it???
After we had a valid job loss claim you held on to our monies for 1 year, 4 months & 10 days. You say you still have a high volume of claims…from what, the 2020/2021 season? You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
We went thru two Vail's Insurance providers, multiple claim agents, two BBB complaints, written complaints to your CEO & the attorney generals of CO, VT & MA, hundreds(no exaggeration) of hours on the phone & sending emails to Vail & their claims providers.
We have a hard time believing no laws were broken. And you’re sorry??
And that says nothing about the scores of people we’ve read about online that you will not refund their money because you will not cover general state travel restrictions during the Covid pandemic. Or the creditable people who say they got a full refund after they had made Core reservations and then cancelled them because of general state travel restrictions. That was fair? Also, one has to wonder why most of Vail Resorts, Inc. mountain web cams were offline for the 2020/2021 season. What a great way to treat people during a global pandemic.
Your advertisement claims for the 2020/2021 Epic Coverage now ring hollow, like a classic bait & switch scheme. “Epic Coverage also provides a refund for certain resort closures, including for events like COVID-19, giving you a refund for any portion of the season that is lost. We understand that times have changed so Epic Coverage completely redefines your pass protection.” Your 11 page terms & conditions (updated until Feb. 2021, 3 months after our claim was submitted) requires a team of lawyers to comprehend. Apparently not an exaggeration either since I was still explaining how, Yes, the T & C did apply to us & how, to the last claim agent.

Redefine? You certainly did that with your shameful & deceptive business practices. Please fwd this to whatever executive approved this Coverage plan in the first place.
After spending multiple seasons renting at Mt. Snow, we will think hard & long before making a future purchase at a Vail Resorts, Inc. property.
Sincerely,
Previous Epic pass holders

2nd MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS prior to the above letter:
Hello Previous Epic pass holders,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with regard to your complaint about Vail Resorts.
From the initial submission of your complaint, I was researching your complaint details with Sedgwick. Unfortunately, they are experiencing a high volume of requests and some refund payment disbursements have been delayed. However, after further discussion, the refund payment was issued on April 9, 2022, so you should be receiving the check payment within a week.
I am truly sorry for the delay in obtaining the refund payment for you and your spouse, but I hope this resolution is to your satisfaction and that you will receive your check payment soon.
Sincerely,
Harley
