How much turfing is requried in between sections? For comparsion, Wachusett is toast:

As of yesterday: none on the two trails. To get to the bottom of the hill, about 20 feet where the lower part of Galaxy (Mountain Road) crosses the mountain from east to west..

April 26, 2023 - Weds.: Update
The lower part of Galaxy [(Mountain Road) where it crosses the mountain from east to west] is no longer skiable. Since the new trail map shows that as "Shooting Star", Pluto's is still T2B (about 500' of vertical). Looking at the edge of the snow, there are still long stretches where the snow depth is still 4 to 6 feet, so 200 to 300 feet of vertical should be available for a couple more weeks.

There remains a strip of about 200 feet of continuous vertical for what may have been my final turns of the season on CM. This is Pluto's from just below it splits from Equinox to about 20 feet before Mountain Road (Lower Galaxy).

The mountain is hosting a rail jam today (Sunday, May (corrected as per ski_it's comment below) 7). Mountain personnel groomed out the last of the large features in CM Park and installed a bunch of features.

Aside: Last patch of snow at the bottom of the CM Park (where they had the May 7 rail jam) should melt away today.

Just to close out the Crotched Season (& NH's) a picture from the May 7th. Rail Jam confirms that the CM guys can still do things just for the heck of it. The local management supported the event, allowing groomer & equipment use. There was a small entry fee and basic food (Burgers, Dogs, Soda & Water) was made available. All procedes went to Special Olympics.

Note that melting water provided a whole new challenge at the bottom, wonder if Mud Skimming will become popular. Boards left larger wakes!

The rails were pulled the following morning and the snow pushed out... for a final pond skim!?
