marcski;c-60747 wroteMemorial Day weekend was so fun! I hope they go for Sat w/walking or perhaps Thursday and Sat. I cannot make it on Thursday as I have a family commitment.
I have been a lone holdout that they should go through the weekend. With rain forecast at 60% and higher for both Friday and Saturday; and with a look at the webcam this AM, I am finally in agreement that June 1 is the right decision. However, Sunday's weather (June 4) looks great and conditions should be more typical of Killington's final day of the season!

I don't think May had one day I'd consider humid even here in Northern Connecticut.
It's also been cold here some night's, due to the dry air.
Currently outside It's 68/46 temperature and dewpoint.
Weather in New England in May (as well as most of the rest of the year) is all over the place.
IMO, the key is the way the surface is prepared for the World Cup. Middle SS had a wonderful lane on six feet of ice with the edges creating a snowcone effect on the soft-ice top. Ice of that thickness/depth melts very slowly, even at 80 degrees.
50 years ago, we were still skiing on natural snow in May. That the mountain has no snow left on any non-snowmaking trail shows the ravages of climate change.
