The paid bag is imo overpriced. I know $3 doesn’t seem like much but hardly anyone uses it. Instead you see what I’ve posted below. Some in the Notchview vestibule but most were outside the Peabody lodge.

To me it’s disgraceful. Cannon needs to either add cubbies and/or lower their bag check price.

Caberfae Peaks also has another day lodge that has more cubbies. The only thing is all food and drinks that are brought from home are not allowed. But there are lots of cubbies in the Blackmere Lodge also

Seeing all those crockpots in the Skyview Lodge makes me so happy. Cabby really goes out of their way to accommodate the budget-minded skiing family. That loyalty and goodwill makes such a difference as the bar and cafeteria aren't exactly hurting for business.

Unless you have free cubbies or free bag check you are pa of the problem. Stop Nickle and diming people for an already expensive sport. Changing at your car is garbage,

It is like they do not want happy customers!I get not wanting bags all over the place but at this rate their will be coin operated toilets.because they think they have the right to charge for basic amenities any business would not think twice about giving for free.. you know like parking.

Guess what, Skizilla! Stowe now charges for parking on Fridays, weekends and holidays. And it aint cheap. 30 smackeroos per day! And down in Pennsylvania, Camelback charges $12 per day for remote lots, and $30 or MORE for closer in lots. Da noive of doze guys!

Well I’m glad I skied Camelback w SJer’s in ‘08+ ‘14 cause there’s no way I’m paying parking.

I think I paid one time in my life to park at Beaver creek in ‘98 and that was underground heated I believe.

Jiminy Peak, MA. No bags allowed upstairs in JJ's Lodge. There are some lockers in the basement. There is a free bag check tent outside. In Crane Lodge however, people are leaving bags along the walls, and wherever.

Waterville 9:30 on a Sunday. They have paid lockers and checked bags for a fee or you can let them collect it for $15. Be funny if everyone did that one day. Hey that might be easier. I didn’t look at the fees but if IIRC last year it was $10 or $15 for a small locker and their checked service isn’t always open. Less than desirable as ours ended up in the open but at least no one stepped on my bag with my glasses inside and it wasn’t raining…

Pats Peak. We had no problem finding outside storage on a sold out Saturday although it is not all that well protected from the elements

They do have microwaves for your use.

At least Waterville now has an official free place to leave your bag. Last year they didn't, that I could find.

Well sorta. As you can see a large number of them are just sitting in the snow.
And you can’t see around the corner, a huge pile hanging on a taken over ski rack and on the ground as well. And in the large indoor space in the cafe I was sitting in I counted 4 coat hooks. I wouldn't doubt if someone took it upon themselves to put a couple up. Now if you all didn't have to put your coats on your table there would be a lot more room.

I was just at Jiminy on Friday evening and the no Bags up stairs in JJ's was not enforced at all. We had to move bags off the table just so we could have a place to eat.

wasn't too many years ago I went to Montage and assorted non-skiing ski club and cub scout moms had laid siege to all the tables with bags and jackets and what have you. "This is reserved" "these seats are saved" ...it was ridiculous.

Not a fan at all of these no-bag rules, but at the same time I wonder if the chicken preceded the egg

Well the “store your bags outside” rule just goes against what having a ski lodge is for. Originally it was a place to boot up and get warm. Now it’s a commercial venue devoid of spirit.

There has to be a happy medium between non skiing moms hoarding tables and storing the bags outside in the weather.
