I realize that last winter’s weather played some role in this, but it looks like the skiing public has finally reached their limit with Vail’s money grab! Sure, skiing has been a somewhat expensive sport for years, but between the cost of equipment, travel, lodging & food, paying between $200 - 400 a day for a lift ticket is too much! I also believe that, with climate change, the skiing public have decided they don’t want to bear all the risk by “investing” their hard-earned money in purchasing an Epic season pass.
Additionally, with the Indy Pass becoming so popular and independent mountains that are tied to other mountains like Berkshire East/Catamount, Burke/Smuggs pass, there are cheaper/less crowded alternatives out there.
