Looks like Mount Snow received a lot of complaints regarding a couple of their lifts not running. Too bad they are using their reaction mode instead of being proactive! Their excuse for why the Ego Alley lift is not running is laughable though. Yesterday was a prime example, no summit lift running due to wind but they could have used Ego to give their guest the lower portion to ski during the holiday week. Sadly no updates on the Challenger lift on the North Face!
“We have some chairlift updates for those of you who have been wondering about the Seasons and Ego Alley lifts. Ego Alley has been an iconic lift here for decades, but after observing how much quicker our other lifts get you all up the mountain accessing the same terrain (and then some!) it submitted a request to take the winter off, which we approved. This decision allows us to focus on delivering the best possible experience across our primary lifts, which are designed to keep you moving quickly and comfortably. While Ego Alley has historically served as a backup lift and operated only a handful of days each season (just nine last winter), we remain confident that our lift network is strong and fully capable of meeting demand. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to enhance your time on the mountain. You may have noticed the structure around the Seasons lift base terminal has taken some recent weathering. We asked a structural engineer to give it a thorough checkup, and they say it could use a little TLC. We’re already working hand-in-hand with the experts to find the best fix so Seasons stays as sturdy as your après ski plans”.
