The installation of the new LST Valar T-Bar is underway at Mittersill:

Concrete work as underway at Mittersill for the Franconia Ski Club’s Valar T-Bar.

The LST lift is being installed by SkyTrac along the eastern side of the new Taft Superslope. Initial footing work was commenced in May on the roughly 725 vertical foot lift. The lift is named after Franconia Ski Club President Christina Valar Breen’s parents, Paul and Paula Valar, who were noted ski racers and instructors.

Meanwhile, snowmaking pipe is being installed on both sides of the Taft Superslope, the widest ski trail in the state. Snowmaking was installed on Baron’s Run and the Skyline-Ridge Run-TBD Trail combination for the 2015-16 season.

Semi-private? May be they will let us use it for the 1st Annual SJ Éclair Day.

Where would the Hall come from? If they pull that off I want to witness the install in progress and will bring the eclairs when it fires up for actual service.  :D

Tight lipped on that front. The used lift market, that is, used lifts in good shape is pretty tight.

Why is the Valar T-Bar listed as a Sky Trac install on their website? Is it because they installed the lift?

Yeah.  They were the contractors for the installation.  LST make the lift components/engineered it.

See that’s what probably confused me. I would have thought Rocket’s anti-Cannon editorialization would say private and not semi-private. But the real question for me is will they let the public use it?
