I don’t think too many people are participating. You’ll see above nobody ventured a guess on mine with ski areas that closed & reopened with diff stats.
I had to look where that was after living in CT.
I thought I Googed BSA but I probably was stuck on basketball.

It was a pretty obscure ski area that closed 47 years ago. I only knew about it because some of my teenage friends and I skied there a couple of years before they closed. It was a unique and memorable experience that I’ll never forget. Especially when we pulled into the driveway/parking lot and some guy (who turned out to be the owner) asked us if we were there to ski and when we said “yes”, he yelled over to a woman in a house (who I believe was his wife) to “fire up the lift”. He skied with us for a while, too. It was a fun couple of hours.

I’ll assume that this thread has died. It was fun while it lasted.

I'm not sure if you meant the response with respect to your clues on the Brooklyn Ski Area or the entire thread. Since no one stepped up, here is another of my softballs.

1) Two areas on same hill or ridge that could have been combined but never were.
2) Both areas had one or more chairlifts.
3) In the blizzard of 1978, it was reported that this area received the greatest amount of snow - reportedly, 55".

Not Ski Valley, but it's one of the two, which means you have the correct answer. Diamond Hill was actually the bigger area with 2-chairlifts. It went out-of-business before Ski Valley. As far as I know, it was Diamond Hill that reported the 55", but I imagine that Ski Valley was nominally the same. I did ski at Ski Valley in 1977 although it was the year after they sold their chairlift. I missed Diamond Hill.

Note: NewEnglandSkiHistory.com erroneous shows the lift as still being at Ski Valley in 1976-7.

Bingo. Always wanted to ski there but never had the chance. Looked interesting.

Nice and steady blue square stuff. I'm surprised that I remember anything about it, since I only skied there once and it was in 1972.

I'll have to figure out some more clues. If anyone has something ready-to-go, post it!

1. Name of the area reflected the number of lifts
2. Used as a sledding hill until a store was built near where the bottom was located.
3. If you drove past and looked at the hill from the side, you could see the areas filled to accommodate a reasonably constant pitch for one of their rope tows
