Mount Abram fits clues 2 and 3. I don't know about clue #1

2. The area is on Mt. Ascutney but has never had lifts that go to the true summit
3. Brownsville Trail named after Brownsville, VT is a little to the north of the upper ski trails

1. Two-word alliterative name.
2. Had only one lift/tow - approximately 300 meters long.
3. Location: about 2 kilometers from a larger area (also closed) that had a chair which had originally operated elsewhere; located even closer to a major open area.

OK for those of us who didn't embrace the metric system during that big push a half century ago, he's talking about a thousand foot lift/tow length located about 1 1/4 miles from the larger area.

Though full credit to Bousquet if using metric was a way to hint at it being in Canada. Very clever.

I couldn’t figure out what it might be from my map of places in the Northeastern US - Canada could make a lot of sense.

I believe the expression in metric would be “in honour of our neighbours,” rickbolger.

Turns out that Happy Hills had both a poma and a rope tow, and I don’t see a major open area nearby, so Happy Hills isn’t it.
