I’m assuming ski_it’s silence implies he either didn’t have one ready or hasn’t checked the forum recently.  Here goes the next set of 3:

1. Orion

2. The former ferry boat from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia

3. Hellegat

The first clue probably gives it away.  The second and third should confirm the first.

1. Orion is the Hunter

2. The boat is “the Cat (skills)”

3. Hellegat was bastardized to Hell Gate, which I think is a trail at Hunter.

Here’s mine:

This area has a lift over 1 mile long.
This area has over 1,400 continuous vertical feet.
There are remains of at least two non-operational lifts on the mountain.

Magic kind of fits, but I’m pretty sure that’s not what you mean. There’s definitely one non-operational lift, but much more than just remains! And some of the perpetually frustrated Magic fans would call the Black Chair non-operational. Many people don’t know that Magic has less than 1600 vertical feet.

The only Italian Ski Area that I can think of is Tyrol.  Is that it?

Skimap.org lists over 100 ski areas in Italy, including the namesake of the one I’m looking for. I don’t see a Tyrol. I thought Tyrol was a region in Austria.

According to the internet, there is a Tyrol both in Austria and Italy.  That being said, it obviously was not the answer mapnut had in mind.

Cortina unless we are looking for a Socrates ski area.I believe Rick is referring to a Hemlock disease. Cortinarius on the other hand is a mushroom that grows under hemlocks.
