I also tried the BBB route which I already knew was a waste of time. Vail Resort, Inc. isn’t even an accredited business on the Better Business Bureau, so there are ZERO reviews. As in none. And as I thought, if you indicate you are looking for someone to return money, they tell you they can’t assist & to sue them in small claims court instead.
I hope you and Beast prevail in the long run. I was so lucky that I could adhere to the travel rules. I was jobless and could park my carcass in Dover.
It's idiotic that had you made a core reservation and simply not showed up or cancelled, your pass would have been rolled over. You guys did the right thing and got screwed for that. Vail Sucks.
Just a thought, have you gone at the local management? Both of you skied Mt Snow - maybe try and involve Tracey Bartels - ask her to advocate for you as long time Mt Snow skiers. She's seems like a corporate stooge but you never know.
And you if get no response or don't like the response, maybe email Kaitlyn Maines, the environmental scientist from the state involved in approving the tumbleweeed lift replacement. Maybe mention that if Vail can't "protect" their own customers, how does she think Vail will protect the local environment. Of course you would cc Tracy in that email.
You 2 lost real money. It's worth the fight and I wish all the luck.
